Review:

An unexpected death in the Stafford family opens the door for romance and intrigue as a mysterious key becomes the centerpiece of the novel.  The key, once owned by a 16th Century family, passed down throughout the generations to the Stafford family in present day, becomes the target of a religious, radical group believing in Rapture and Creationism. Their determination to acquire the coveted key holds no bounds.

Will Stafford inherits the family heirloom, the key.    Alex Stafford, Will’s brother, finds unexpected love with film producer, Lucy King.   Secrets of the key involve a long hidden past that will unlock the mystery of the Rose Labyrinth which intersects with the present lives of the Stafford family.

The story moves back and forth through time from present day to sixteen hundred.

The convoluted, melodramatic plot, though at times entertaining, features superficial characters and unrealistic events.
