Judge Moreland, the baby’s grandfather, insists, in no uncertain terms, that the McGuane’s return his grandchild within three weeks.  More puzzling, the McGuane’s realize Moreland’s son has little interest in his baby girl. 

As battle lines form, the Judge soon learns the McGuane’s will not be easily cowed.  McGuane, not without resources of his own, begins to investigate the Judge and the reader is drawn into the riveting, powerful, and suspenseful, action packed drama.
