Review:

“The Help” sheds light on an unsettling time in US history.  The story explores the friendships between black maids, and their respective relationships with their white employers, in Jackson, Mississippi, 1960’s.

However change is coming to Mississippi as the daughter of one of the wealthy families views the current social climate differently than her mother, and intends to reform and expose the social injustices.

Interesting historical story told with sensitivity and wit.  Well written and well plotted.
