Review:

A novel of four women living in an unidentified Moslem country, subjected to the uncompromising rules and laws which govern women and deny them basic freedoms.  Three of the women are Arab, one is American.  Although written as four separate vignettes, their stories  intertwine.

The women, each harboring a goal, describe their lives, their loves, their relationships, their desires, their angers and frustrations in their limited capacity of freedom and second-class citizenry.

Well-written, descriptive; interesting topic.
