Review:

Grant Jerkins’ debut novel and fast-paced thriller centers on two troubled adult brothers, Monty and Adam Lee, orphaned during their later childhood years, and Leo, a prosecuting attorney in the DA’s office.  The crime novel, dark and disturbing, portrays not only physical violence, but grasps upon emotional and psychological violence.  The story moves back and forth in time.

The brothers, both sociopaths, become successful in life.  Adam marries a wealthy woman, he knows has issues, and eventually takes over her father’s business.  Monty becomes a successful attorney, who is written up in a magazine article as one of the city’s top eligible bachelors.

After the crime of murder occurs, the murder of Adam’s wife, the plot spins with twists and turns around, “who-done-it.”
