Review:

Robert Neal's action packed, non-stop, thriller explores the depth of shady politics and the government’s failure to protect American citizens by allowing and promoting an open border.  Jake St. Claire and his friend, Father Maitland, a fellow veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan wars, traverse the perils of the lawless U.S. Southern border.  After years of pleas for help to government agencies, followed by inaction, Jake decides to free Johnny St. Claire, his brother, an ATF agent, illegally imprisoned in Mexico and faces corruption on both sides of the border. The story deepens into further plots as Jake begins to uncover double dealing and follows the intrigue, carefully deciphering the clues of who’s who and who works for whom.  Jake, ever resourceful, plans his steps meticulously.  Jake calls in the favor of an old friend, the secretary of DHS (Department of Homeland Security).  Jake must however, remain heedful of unscrupulous government officials, and take care in doing so.

Neal's clear, concise writing style moves the novel swiftly forward.  A new form of editing using little punctuation offers a technique which allows easy reading.
