Review:

Novelist Ernest Hemmingway, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, authored many books including “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and “A Farewell to Arms”, both WW II stories.  Hemmingway was born in Illinois, in 1899 and died in Idaho, 1961, at the age of 61.

Colorful and sensitive, the story reveals the life of Santiago, a poor Cuban fisherman, struggling with a long run of bad luck as he has not caught a fish in months.  Hemmingway captures the intense determination and heartfelt desires of the older fisherman to real in his catch and protect his bounty as beautifully as he depicts the colors of the sea.
