Deported with her mother, sisters, and brother from their home town in Hungary to the Auschwitz death camp in 1944, Isabella Leitner’s memoir offers a first-hand account of her horrific journey to survive the Holocaust. 

The short story, written in succinct chapters and poetic prose, includes accounts of family members and the siblings’ experiences in different camps.  Also included are family photographs from both before and after the war.
