Filled with mysteries of Egyptian Gods and Temples, ancient, powerful artifacts and dangerous, palace intrigue, the author touches upon events from the Bible to portray Moses while spinning an elaborate tale.   Weston expands upon the character’s personal struggles, political and religious views, and his conflicts and attachments to two families: the House of Pharaoh, and the “Apiru” slaves. 

The novel, though descriptive of personalities, and ancient Egypt, strays to and from the Biblical story and bogs down in detail between the philosophies and politics of the polytheistic and semi-monotheistic gods and the accompanying fantastical tales at the Temple.
