Review:

Tucker Jones answers the phone late one night expecting a call from his fourteen year old daughter, Kat.  But it is the father of an acquaintance of Kat’s informing Tucker his daughter is in trouble.  As Tucker races to the Vandenberg home, the location of the wild party, horror runs through his mind.  Tucker questions the boys as to his daughter’s whereabouts.  The boys become surly; a violent confrontation ensues which brings life changing consequences.

The Vandenberg’s are a wealthy family and demand justice.

Tucker Jones, who once worked in D.C. for "Time Life", now runs his own landscaping business.  He is no financial match for the Vandenberg’s.

Kat’s concern is for her reputation and fears gossip in school.

Even though the book is well written, the long winded story produces not one likeable character, and takes three quarters of the book to find so obvious a defense.
