Review:

Debra Sharp’s gripping autobiography is an unforgettable account of murder and sexual assault.  The author relates her story of terror in chilling detail with a graphic account of the day, and the person, that changed her life, and changed the lives of her family members, forever.

It was a normal day, the day of the intrusion and attack.  Debra sparred words with her son Michael hoping he would attend a dinner that he refused.  Nino, her husband of almost twenty-five years, had words with their daughter Melissa’s school advisor over a loan application.  Debra had decided to plant the buckets of colorful roses, still boxed in their original containers, the roses that would be beautiful viewing from her kitchen window.  Debra had no idea that a crazed drug fiend had entered her home.

Debra Sharp refers to herself as a survivor and offers inspiration and strength to all abused women.  The author’s intent, not only to tell her personal tragedy, but to write of her experiences which extend to hope and recovery.
